How to Lose 20 Pounds in 3 Weeks - Take These Steps to Succeed
Published By John Davenport on 2011-10-19 595 Views

Say you want to lose 20 pounds in 3 weeks, how would you go about it? Naturally, it's not as easy as it sounds because losing so much weight in such a short time requires a real effort on your part and it's not something you want to take lightly.

There are generally 3 stages to any successful weight loss: prepare, execute, maintain. Here's how you need to arrange your 3 stages to have any hope of success.

Start by clearing out your kitchen of any fried, processed, and fatty foods. You should also eliminate any comfort food you're used to overeat on. A moment of temptation can sabotage your efforts, so make sure to take action to protect yourself.

Go and buy a pair of dumbbells, a jumping rope, and an ab wheel. These are all inexpensive and will help you workout at home.

To lose 20 pounds in 3 weeks will require you to make physical exercise a regular part of your life. You will need to do 4 workouts a week consisting of intensive strength exercises, in which the dumbbells and ab wheel will help, and to do intensive cardio workouts: running outdoors and jumping rope at home.

These workouts will help you burn body fat fast and get you in shape. In addition, every day take a 30-45 minute walk to make sure you're as active as possible.

Your diet will need to change as well. Make sure to eat small and frequent meals, lots of fruit and vegetables, drink a lot of water, and get your protein from lean sources. Avoid alcohol, white flour, sugary drinks, and pastries as much as you can.

Do this and you can lose 20 lbs in 3 weeks.

Once you've achieved your goals, now is the time to maintain them for years. This is too an effort in itself. Make sure to not go back to the bad ways which made you overweight in the first place. Workout regularly, eat sensibly, lead a healthy lifestyle, and keep a watch over your weight.

If you do this right, you will not only lose weight but keep it off for good.
